An EDC knife is meant to be carried everyday and it is exactly that, a Everyday Carry knife.
I everyday carry a pocket knife for many reasons, mainly work. It comes in handy to cut open boxes or used as a tool in the field. Whatever your purpose for everyday carry may differ from person to person but the concept is the same. You need a good pocket knife that will perform the task you need it to execute. There are many great EDC knives on the market and Gearmoose breaks down the 20 best EDC knives.
Some of my personal favorite pocket knives include:
Kershaw Zing – The zing is a surgically sharp smooth opening blade with speedsafe assist opening. I favor this knife mainly because of it’s perfect pocket size and the clip holds well on my work jeans. The blade shape is excellent for slicing. The steel is good quality for a knife at this price and very easy to keep razor sharp.
Buck Nobleman – I like this knife because the clip can be removed if you just want to carry in your pocket. It the perfect size for an EDC pocketknife. I like the thumb stud open assist, and it is holds a sharp blade.
SOG Kilowatt – Well I don’t everday carry this knife because it is a little bigger then I like to EDC. However this knife is with me everyday at work simply because of all the features this blade offers. It features a stripper bar, adjustable spring-loaded UTP/wire stripper, hole stripper, hi-voltage tower clip and insulator thumb stud.
So what is your favorite EDC pocket knife?
