The venison steak sandwich is so delicious that your family will often ask you to make more. Here is how to make them with a video for easy demonstration.
2 Green Pepper
4 Hoagie Buns
How To Make
Slice two bell peppers and one onion into very thin slices. Add 1-2 Tablespoons of olive oil to large skillet, med-high heat. Once oil is hot, add vegetables, salt and pepper, sauteing until tender. [optional] Chop mushrooms and add
While the bell peppers and onions are caramelizing, get the venison steaks and slice them as thin as you can get them with a very sharp knife. Remove vegetables from skillet using a fork to retain oil, juices and flavor in skillet for cooking meat. Add a little more olive oil and then the thinly sliced venison steaks to the hot oil and stir and cook quickly. Remove the meat with a fork and set aside. Lightly toast the hoagie buns in the same juices.
Now add enough meat and vegetables to make a sandwich, add the provolone cheese on top and cook until cheese starts melting. scoop up the meat, vegetables and cheese into the lightly toasted bun and your ready to serve. Allow a minute to cool off and enjoy one of the best sandwiches you will ever taste.
