Truglo Range Rover Review
What do you look for in a bow sight? I have been a die hard 5 pin shooter for years, and really loved the Truglo Rival FX. It was the perfect sight for me with its windage & elevation quick adjustment. I shot the sight on 2 different bows, and thought I would never see the need to change my set up. …That was up until my buddies came to me raving about the new Range Rover made by Truglo. I told them they were all crazy to be using a single pin because I was stuck in my ways…if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it mentality. After relentless convincing, I picked up a used one off of a friend. I still wasn’t convinced, but had to try it out so I got it mounted on my Obsession Phoenix, and off I went to smack some targets. After only two shots, I realized I was leveling my bow perfectly without even having to glance at the level… game over ladies and gents! I fell in love, sold!
One of the things I really like about the Range Rover, is the fact that I hardly ever use my sight level anymore. Reason being is that the pin is vertical allowing the bow to line up perpendicular to the target once the sight is aligned with your peep. This is important to all bow-hunters because it’s one less thing to worry about in the field. Also, the yardage adjustment is very user friendly with a small lock wheel on the tuning wheel. After you range your target and know your yardage, just turn the sight to the right spot on your yardage tape. It’s really that simple to make an awesome shot.
Another fantastic feature of the Range Rover by Truglo , is that it’s extremely light so as not to add any unnecessary weight to your bow. The sight is not too big or bulky at all, and looks like it was almost made specifically for my Obsession Phoenix. The pin itself is quite bright, just like all Truglo sights, with green illumination for easy focus in low light conditions. Of course you can find better sights out there, but for the value you get in functionality, reliability and consistency with the Range Rover, there is no doubt in my mind why it is becoming one of the most popular bow sights on the market. I would also check out the new archer’s choice Range Rover Pro. It has some awesome new features that will change the sight industry and how we have viewed bow sights over the past decades.
If you are in the market for a new bow sight, look no further! I would highly recommend the Range Rover by Truglo to any bowhunter, be they novice or an old pro. Be open minded about changing, you never know when it will empower you to make the shot of a lifetime.
