Feral hogs are considered an exotic and invasive species. They cause extensive damage to agricultural lands and other environments. The rooting feeding behavior of pigs destroys native plant species, creates areas of erosion, especially near stream banks, which in turn can impact the water quality making life harder for aquatic wildlife. Wild hogs compete with the native wildlife for food, water, cover and space.
Hunting and trapping are a few ways to help control the hog populations. However hogs are a tough animal and sometimes get the better of hunters trying to help control the chaos these invasive species create.
Check out this video to see just how tough these hogs really are.
