Obsession Bows Delta Six Review
As hunters we are always looking for the next piece of equipment or gear to give us the edge we need to be successful year after year in the woods. Being relatively new to bow hunting, and having what I would call a beginner bow in the Bear Encounter, it was time to upgrade to the next level. I was partial to Bear because of their reliability and forgiveness across the board. After all, both of my sons and wife shoot a Bear. I shot all of the 2015 Bear line up, and really liked their high end bows, but there was something missing that I couldn’t quite put my finger on until I shot the Obsession Delta Six. Let me say that after that, there was no comparison. From the time I placed the grip in my hand and pulled the Delta 6 back it felt as if the bow was built just for me…an extension of my body.
I have always liked the more compact bows because of their versatility for any blind application and light weight for those long, West Texas spot and stalk hunts. Shooting 344fps, weighing 4 lbs. and measuring 28 9/16″ axle to axle, this is a truly powerful compact bow. The Fusion Perfx draw specific cam system is noticeably smoother than the Evolution cams with a less intense peak and a nice valley that feels like you can hold full draw the entire hunt. When I shot the bow the first time I was mesmerized by its quietness, minimal vibration and mind blowing speed. The Delta Six forever changed the way I look at compound bows. This bow is topped off with a Dead Center stabilizer and a Treelimb quiver all in the new Stormy Hardwoods Spec Ops Camo. I also added a QAD ultra rest and a Truglo Rival FX sight. The combination is one deadly accurate tool giving me confidence in the bow due to its consistent groups out to 60 plus yards. In closing I would recommend this bow to any hunter that wants a light weight, ultra quiet, and super compact bow all while having some of the highest speeds of any bow on the market.
Check out the video below of my first harvest with the Delta Six. Let me not forget to mention that I use Black Eagle Deep Impact arrows topped with Hartcraft Scooptail Broadheads. Wow, what a lethal setup! If you have a Delta 6 or just have a question, please leave in the comments below. Hammer Down PIH nation!
