In today’s bow hunting world there are so many choices in broadheads that it can get downright confusing. Over the years bowhunting I have tried and shot many different styles of broadheads. I can tell you I will never shoot a expandable head from past experience, to me it is just one more thing that can go wrong. So today I will give a review on the Hartcraft broadheads that get the job done.
Hartcraft Broadheads offer a variety to suit every bow hunter. They have five different style of blades that all use the same ferule. The Hartcraft Scooptail ferrule is universal. It will take all Hartcraft blades, big game or turkey. This allows you to reuse undamaged ferrules and buy replacement blades as needed. Let’s take a look at the Hartcraft lineup.
Deep Cut: 1 1/8-Inch Broadhead (3-Pack), 100-Grain, Fixed blade broadhead designed for maximum penetration. Reversible blades are sharp on both sides. Blades are suspended on both ends so they don’t touch the ferrule.
Wide Cut: 1 1/2-Inch Broadhead (3-Pack), 100-Grain, Wide cut blades sweep wide for added cutting diameter.
Treestand: 1 1/8-Inch Broadhead (3-Pack), 100-Grain, Solid-core notched blade stretches, then slices hide for an exaggerated entry hole and better blood trails on down angle shots from tree stand. Reversible blades are sharp on both sides.
Turkey Body Shot: 1 & 1/8″ Cutting Circle 100 Gr. 3/Pkg, Reverse angle blades funnel and cut the ultra-elastic tissue of a turkey that tends to slide around standard blades. This is why turkeys are so difficult to kill. Not anymore! Shoots well through blind mesh!
Turkey Lopper: 2 & 3/8″ Cutting Circle 125 Gr. 3/Pkg, Take a tom’s head clean off with a Lopper. Reverse-angled blades direct off-center shots to turkey head/neck. Shoots well through blind mesh!
The Hartcraft broadheads are the best penetrating head that i have shot. The ferule and blade design are aerodynamic and help get great penetration. I have had complete pass throughs on deer and hogs up to 40 yard shots. The oversized cut-on-contact tip is followed by a scooptail broadhead base that is larger in diameter. As the blades are cutting and the scoops are pumping, the reamer is clearing a wound channel for the arrow shaft. This dramatically reduces arrow shaft friction and results in far more pass-through shots. Better arrow penetration means more pass through shots and pass throughs mean better blood trails.
The broadheads are tough and dependable, Fly true and straight just like a field tip, 100% stainless steel, reversible blades, universal ferule that fits all blades, three extra blades in every pack, flip the blades on a deep cut or tresstand and you have a small game head, all backed by a money back guarantee. Hartcraft has made a product that every bow hunter needs and excels at getting the job done!
Is there any reason to shoot any other broadhead?
